I figured since this was your birthday month it is only appropriate I write this letter to you!  April 1st.. my April fool’s baby. You were actually due March 30, but I figure you just really wanted the diamond to be your birthday stone (smart girl), so you decided you would wait an extra day.  I guess I can understand.  :)  Oh Bella.. I don’t even know where to start. I feel like 4 is just SO MUCH bigger than 3.  When I look back at pictures from your 3rd birthday you look so much younger. You were still a baby at 3, turning 4, you are a little girl.  As a mom that is just so bitter sweet.  I am so excited for you because I know how much you want to be a big girl, actually I am pretty sure you already think you are about 16 (wink wink).  Sneaking my lipstick (that I don’t even wear), changing your outfit at least 2-3 times a day, even asking to wear deodorant.  Yep, pretty sure you think your 16.  But gosh it is hard to watch your little girl grow up and move out of toddlerhood.  Lucky for me, you still love your cuddles, hugs, kisses, and special time. You still climb in my lab every morning and watch morning cartoons with  me.. and if I am not on the couch in the morning you will tug on my leg and say in your sweet voice, “mom, can we please have cuddle time”.. well, unless you are having a bad morning that voice may be a bit less inviting as you demand, mom, come over here and have cuddle time with me.  (Haha)  You still run over to me every evening with your toothbrush and toothpaste so I can help you… you still need me to kiss your boo boos and hug your tears away…. you still need me to lay with you at night and read you stories… you still climb into bed with your mom and dad at least 75 % of the week… there are so many things you still do that remind that even though you aren’t a baby anymore, you’re still my little girl.  I love every little bit of you.. your sweet side, your spunky side, your caring side, and your loving side. You pretty much crack me up every single day.  You dad and I often have to turn our heads and laugh at you with the funny things you do and say.  And OMG.. you amaze me with how smart you are.  I don’t know how you do it, but you will remember a persons name the very first time you meet them.  At first I thought it was just luck, but no you pretty much have an amazing memory. You can’t wait to be in Kindergarten so you can be in Jacob’s class and you adore every bit of preschool and get mad when it is the weekend because its not a school day.  haha!  You are as close as you can get to reading and you love to read your princess books.  You LOVE dresses and for your birthday when people asked what you wanted you said “dresses”. haha!  And boy do you have style. You totally know how to dress and you are pretty much adorable in everything you wear.  :)  Soo… for this birthday you had your very first friend party!!  Oh, you were so excited.  The party was perfect and you enjoyed dressing up as a princess, finding missing gems, birthday crafts,  pizza and cake of course!  Your brothers were send off for the day and it was just you, mommy and all your friends.  What a wonderful day!  Sweet girl.. thank you for always putting a big smile on mommies face. I love you more than I could tell you in words.

Dear Jacob, Bella, and Brady,

We are doing our very best to wait for this spring to start, but man, it sure is killing us not to get outside! Anyone who knows our familiy knows from the moment the spring birds start chirping and the sun starts shinning we are out there playing till the sun goes down (or mom says it is bath time!). We have luckily been able to hit a few days.. even if that means mom has to stand at the front window holding Brady while I watch Jacob and Bella play on their new basketball hoop wishing I could be out there but knowing 30 degrees is way too cold for a 4 month old.  haha!  :)

Miss Bella.. you are the birthday girl today!!!!  Oh my goodness are you just eating every single bit of it up.  I think you are going to hit the record for the number of times your birthday is celebrated. We celebrated this Easter weekend at Grandma Debbies, of course today after school we celebrated with your favorite, pizza, since it was your real birthday, at school you celebrated and you even got a super duper surprise from Jacob’s wonderful kindergarten class (click here to see it.. it is hysterical!), and you will have a few friends over for a party in about a week and a half.. you are one lucky lucky girl!  I took you out shopping the other day and then the next day we took some birthday pictures for you.  You were such a hoot and boy do I love all your personality.  You are sweet and loving and even a bit sensitive, with a little spunk and diva in you.  If you ask me, its the perfect mix!  The other night after climbing into bed with me at 2 am, you tapped on my shoulder and said “hey mom.. do you think we could go out for some special time, maybe get a sandwhich and chips”  haha.. you are too much.  But of course we went out for a sandwich and chips later that week, I hade a blast and I am pretty sure you did too!  You love your special time with mom just as much as I love my time with you!!!

My Jacob… I CAN NOT BELIEVE how much more grown up you seem to me each and every day.  You have decided that is it much cooler to watch sports center in the mornings than it is to watch cartoons!!!  WHAT?!?!  If that doesn’t scream growing up than I don’t know what does!  You are super duper into the NCAA tournament going on and have been constantly tracking how you are doing in your brackets!  You actually are doing really really well, way to go big man!  You are pretty much eating everything in site at home and can’t get it in your mouth fast enough (we are working on slowing down a bit.. haha.. you get that one from your dad, sorry kev).  You are becoming such a fabulous reader, I am just amazed at how far you have come this year.. it is kind of bitter sweet for your mom when at bedtime her little guy is reading to her instead of she to him (although we do still do that and both enjoy it very much!).  Hopefully if spring every happens you will start soccer practice.. I can’t wait to watch you play this season!  And the big news for the month is your new basketball hoop.  Somehow you sweet talked your papa into letting you invade his coin jar.  Papa said if you could roll the money into dollar rolls you could use it to buy your basketball hoop.. well, $200 in change later you got your hoop!!  I am pretty positive you know many ways to make a dollar now!  haha!  I have to say you pretty much love it and all the other kids on our street say thanks as well!  :)  I am beyond proud of the big boy you are growing into!

Brady boy.. I don’t even know where to start. Personality.. we are seeing more and more!  You now grab and play with toys.. you chew your fingers non-stop… and your favorite activity is watching your brother and sister.  As they move from one part of the room to the other your eyes always follow. It is pretty darn cute!  You did start playing in the jumperoo this month and although you haven’t really started jumping you enjoy sitting up and playing with the toys in between glances at your brother and sister.  You still are beyond perfect in every way.  You are such a great baby.. so easy going.  Pretty much as long as you are fed and not tired you are one happy little boy.  Just this week you got 2 teeth!! The front bottom 2. I haven’t been able to get a picture yet, but I am sure I will grab one soon.  You have been a drooling mess this entire month, so I thought that would be coming soon.  Oh.. and you rolled over from your back to your belly for the first time this past weekend. You only did it once, but you certainly did it!! And well.. you are pretty darn cute!! I just can’t get enough Brady smiles, grins and giggles.

Can’t wait to see what this next month brings.  I love you all and am so proud of all three of you!!!

4 months old, how in the world can this be?  i feel like it was just yesterday we welcomed you into this world.  You are my sweet, blue eyes, blond hair, dimple faced, giggle filled, amazingly perfect little boy.    i love you more than i could ever even try to tell you! my heart just signs with happiness with every giggle, smile and touch from you.  you are perfect in every way.    i can’t wait to watch you grow… to see your relationship with your siblings develop… to be your mom for the rest of your life. i am really trying hard to take my time with everything and not rush these days while you are so little. tonight was no different. putting you to bed is one of my favorite parts of the day.  we were out late at the mall getting your sister a birthday outfit, which took much longer than expected seeing she is a 3 year old that loves fashion and had to not only  try on every outfit, but also prance around Gap in each one.. haha. anyways, we were late getting home, but even thought it was 8:30 at night you were still beyond happy and smiley.  the night began in jacob’s room… he was reading his school books to us.  I watched you as you reached for the pages in his book, which made your brother giggle.  your sweet eyes moved from his book to his face and then over to mine.  with each glance you smiled.  some say its hard being a third child, but you know i think they are wrong.  you have four people that love you.. someone is always giving you a hug, kissing your face, wanting to hold you or talking to you.  we all just adore your every move.  after putting your brother to bed i brought you to your room, swaddled you and began to nurse you.  most of the time you were more interested in smiling and giggling at me than you were to nurse. i have to say it is hard to not love the mommy flirting you do.  then as you always do you stopped, laid your head back into my arms and proceeded to stare at the dimmed overhead light.  as you glared at the lights, i studies every sweet feature of your face.. your sweet gummy smile, your soft dimples, your perfectly almond eyes, and your peaches and cream skin.  i then laid you in bed still wide awake  (which still boggles my mind a baby does this, your brother and sister never allowed for this )  so you can talk and giggle yourself to dreamland.   and as i sit at my computer still listening to you talk to yourself i think to myself; thank you brady… thank you baby boy!  you fill my heart with so much happiness and i love you!
